what is this growth

i bought these bulbs from wal-mart last week exactly and this one has grown as soon as i popped in the water literaly the next morning it was already sprouting....well anyways its the little brown thing in the tip of the leaf????is it going to flower ???? i dont know what bulb it is as i just got them and put them in the water cause i didnt want the plants from petsmart that have like horny snails that reproduce right at birth they start reprodcing its weird and a nuisance :-/ ok well the feedback would help alot its not bothering its just that im curius :-D

I'ts hard to tell for sure from the picture, but it looks like a flower bud. The timing would be about right. The plant would be a type of aponogeton plant.Those wmart bulbs are great. The last batch I bought all started sprouting less than 24 hours later, just like the ones you have. Here's a link to a pic of my 10g tank to give you an idea of what the plants look like when they mature. I only have the wmart bulbs (apons and dwarf lilies) in the tank.

I'm pretty sure it's a flower. I have some of those bulbs (and boy they do start growing right away) and they sent tons and tons of flower shoots to the surface. It's kinda fun.
 
It is a flower shoot - you do want to cut it out (I pull them out) before it flowers, otherwise you risk the plant going into its dormant stage again.
