I was wondering why my bta was usually shriveled up while my sebae anemone was always fine. I caught my cleaner shrimp poking the heck out of it(bta). I just fed all three a silverside each, figuring it would keep the shrimp busy while the others ate, but no luck. The shrimp ate the silverside like it eats fish all the time. Hope he doesn't get a taste for percula. Then went for the bta.
Anyway, any ideas on how to stop this guy?
Thanks,
Tom

naw. they wont eat a clown but they will pick at anyfoods that you feed corals. that is why i had to get rid of my coral banded shrimp form my reef. he now resides in my fowlr.
try feeding him a good sized piece right before you feed the others. that way, he would be occupied hopefully long enough for everything to swollow their dinner

That did work and he worked on the silverside long enough for the anemone to close completely around it's food.
Thanks

you are lucky that only one thing in your tank steals food from your corals. everything in my tank steals food from my corals even if i try to keep them away, from bristle worms to fish and sand sifting snails. my peppermint actualy is the only one who doesn't

That's weird. That would explain some of the strange scrappings off the one of my anemones. So...the cleaner shrimp(s) are the culprit! *sigh* Now I have to one or the other. I'm not sure which but I will eventually.
