Well I guess all of my Ram problems are over. Its funny how for the first month I was so worried about these fish cause they werent moving that much and allways hiding. Now I have a big bunch of eggs on a rock that they are taking turns guarding. This afternoon the eggs were white and now most of them are kinda brown? That means they got fertilized right?

They should hatch in 24-48 hours depending on the temperature of the tank... they will be a beige color and as they get close to hatching will develope little dark dots in the center. In the meantime the ones that aren't fertilized or aren't developing properly will turn white and fungus.
Hope all goes well,
Cathy

Rams are notorious egg eaters. They are also sneaky... are they hiding in the back anywhere? Maybe taking turns swimming back and forth to one spot? If so, they are probably hiding the wrigglers. Or, they ate the eggs.

If you are serious about wanting ram fry, make sure your water is soft - less than 6gh. Once that is checked and the water is ok, make sure both rams are fertile - only way to tell is if you pull the eggs and hatch them yourself. Or, they don't eat the next round.

If you feed them lots of high protein foods, she will be ready to lay eggs again in a week/10 days.

Rams also like warm - very warm - water. 84-86. I wrote up how I get them to spawn and how I artificially hatch the eggs. You can find my site under my profile, click on the Aquarium link on the bottom right.
