This is soo funny! I am doing the same thing - only one of my guests is a regular speaker at the American Cichlid Association meetings.. SO, today I am going to primp the tanks and do water changes. (My tanks aren't anything compared to his - I've visited his fish room. But, at least I can get rid of the algae on the glass!)

haha, yep, I did my weekly water change/gravel vac/glass scrape lastnight. It's looking great! Now if I only had that Bala Shark out of there! BAH!
luckily only 4 tanks are in the house..good thing you brought this up..I need to primp the tanks tonite(it is a normal water change nite anyway)
LOL! Did mine last night!! Last year I only had 1 tank, now I have 5!! Every tank has babies in them too! My guests are gonna freak, considering how much of a hit the 1 was last year.
I have seven tanks this year for my guests to feast thier eyes on. I did water changes in the last two days on five of them and they are sparkling. Today the last two get water changes before I go to work tonight. Who cares about the food! It's the tanks that are the real show.

lol i do the same thing but i TOTALLY agree with the part about playing it off when they are all saying how amazing it looks, but really inside you have the biggest smile.

thanksgiving is being served by my marine Show tank, I've worked my boots off to get it looking just so
