It's time for me to add some ferts but i'm afraid that it'll mess around with my snails... should I add the ferts?

FWIW...
Got 10-12 Brig snails in Community tank (3 adult, rest babies about dime size).
Use Florish, Florish Excell in the tank.
Snails still alive and thriving-got a couple new egg clutches.

ferts are not a snail's enemy. CO2 is though.....if your pH stays acidic and you inject CO2, it can erode shells.
