If you get the lowest priced angelfish, around how much would it cost? And are they fin nippers?

Depends on what size you buy them and what type of angelfish..also where your alocated. Where im at a small angel costs from 3.99 - 6.00. LArge Being about 17.00 -25.00. I havent had a prb with my angels nipping at fins or being agressive to my much smaller fish. (danios)

some places carry all sizes, with the smallest being dime sized, and the prices start at around $5, and can climb to over $25 dollars for a regular 4" fish.
the specimines with better, longer fins usually sell for more. for example, a quarter sized angel with short fins that havent grown out yet will go for about 8 dollars by me, while the same sized angel with fins that have grown out go for over $12. as i said, a regular 4" angel with regular fins goes for about $25, but if he had long, grown out fins or he was a veil, he could easily command $30- $40

Here, they well them for $2.00 each quarter size angel :) Some sell them for $7 (LFS) for medium sized. Generally around $3-$5.

size sets the price on domestic angels.
availability sets the price on wild angels.
domestics range from $4-$7 for small. $7-$10 for med $15-$25 for large.
wild start at $15 for small and go up from there..Altums tend to cost more but are a lot more fragile interms of water conditions. wild scalare run a bit less but can run $10 for small and $25 for med.

you can find angels pretty cheap on aquabid, especially if they're "culls" which are just fine for the average aquariast. like star said, as far as wilds, its a crap shoot. i got my wild altums 6-120$, but i'm a frequent fly on the wall at that LFS, or it would have been closer to 200$. Lovely fish though.

I got a bag of five angels, ranging from silver dollar size to softball sized for five dollars. That was one dollar each. I also bought three fifty cent peice sized angels for seven dollars at the same auction. The difference in price was because people like the gold/marble better then the silvers, and people liked the smaller angels better then the almost fully grown angels. And because the auction had so many angels that there wasn't as much demand as supply.
Angels are fin nippers towards each other. If they don't get along or have enough space, they will nip at each other. I've even seen my angels lunge at the ram during feeding time.

How much does an angelfish cost is sort of like asking "what does a car cost?" Call your LFS and ask them, they will be happy to answer that question.
