if people help treat ich with salt then how can saltwater fish get ich?
i know it might be a dumb question, but im just curious.

Marine ich is a different organism than fw ich.

Completely different species.

Perhaps not so strangely, while FW ich is treated with salt, SW ich is treated with lack of salt.
