Can anyone tell me why all my snails have crusty shells. They're mystery snails, theres no salt in the tank so I don't see why they'd go all crusty.

If your GH/KH is on the low side maybe they're having trouble getting enough minerals together to generate healthy shells? Just a thought, don't really know…
Or then again, fungus?

It looks almost like the shell is corroded from salt or something. I have to test the hardness, I'm gonna finally invest in a master test kit next week.
