Can you feed other fish betta food, like angel fish..
They will eat it. Probably not a problem.

it's all the same food IMO with tropical fish. i switch my betta flakes around with my tropical fish flakes and vice versa. both fish love it and it adds variety to their diet. shouldn't be used as a staple though, just a weekly treat.

betta food is specified for bettas because they have different dietary needs that tropicals. There's a reason there is Betta food and cichlid food, and tropical flakes and goldfish foods. They all have different aims of nutritional targets. Each fish need more of one thing or another and the food that lacks in the betta food and is too righ for the tropicals may not show overnight but they will over time.

as mentioned before, i use it as a treat. i don't see the harm in using it as just that. in fact, the tropical flakes have more protein that the HBH betta flakes and less ash. both parties are looking colorful and healthy as ever. i've been doing this for months now and do not see any complications and if anything, i see improvement. again, it's used once a week, not as a staple.

treats is fine.... but I was really meaning if the betta food was fed on a daily and permanent basis. Snack is alright, good luck ;)

Betta food is usually higher in protein than regular tropical fish food.

I have my best results when I stick with the food thats meant for that species of fish.
Unless you want to give your fish a tad bit of variety every now and then.
Inproper diet ill effects may not show up over night or even within months, but it is a possibility.
Poor nutrition can be a slow killer.
So for treats betta food for an Angel fish might be ok.
For a main staple/diet NO.
They do have better treats for that species rather than using other species food.
