what is thier min tank size?
my LFS has a orange-white flowerhorn that has been there for years.I love him to death,he's got such a personality. :rolleyes:
he is in a 30-38 gal(been there since he was about 3")right now he's about 8"-9".

also,what is the best diet for them??
I was thinking is I got one,
cichlid pellets
feeder guppies
shrimp
ans a few other things,is that a good diet for them?
 
Usually a 75 is needed for a FH, but it sounds like this one has had a bad life and may be stunted. A 55 MIGHT work for this fish, but be prepared to upgrade if it starts to grow.

I feed my flowerhorns pellets, shrimp, smelt, krill, and earthworms. Guppies are a good treat, but not necessary.
 
im pretty sure he's stunted...been there for about 4-5 yrs....im probably getting a 55-60 gal soon so I really wanted to get him.
im pretty sure its a FH,but I've never seen a orange-white one..is that normal?
 
could also be a red devil or midas cichlid, they all kinda look alike. the orange white, plus the fact that they obviously dont care about this fish, would make me think its probably not a flowerhorn. These are usually fairly expensive fish, I doubt they'd let one get stunted like that
