My 25g is home to:

1x three spot gourami
1x Betta
3x male guppy
2x bronze corydoras

Filtration consists of a penguin mini w/ out bio wheel and a whisper 5-15. Tank gets approx. 50% water changes every week.

The original plan on top of the above was to be adding 4-5 more corys and some ghost shrimp - that plan is still in place. The problem is that I've recently decided that I want an african butterfly.

I'm not sure my tank should really have that much bio load in there, actually I think adding the corys and shrimp will put my tank near fully stocked. Thoughts?

Also, please note that I'm aware the guppies will be removed either by me or the butterfly, if I should go through with getting one.

the only problem i can see is between the betta and African butterfly (and of course the guppies as you stated) because African Butterflies dont like having other fish in the top of the tank besides their own species.

is your three spot docile? the one i had killed everything in the tank.

She did injure a drawf gourami to the point of death and she ocasionally nudges the betta, but other than that, she tends to ignore her tankmates. Considering how she also is a surface dweller, I think that a butterfly in this tank runs the risk of getting itself killed. So I'll have to wait until I can get a tank centered around this fish.
