How compatable are male Bettas with White Cloud Minnows? Anyone have any experience? I'm thinking it'd be fine to have them together, but thought it'd be a good idea to ask before I go ahead with anything.

At first the betta might try to nip/chase the white clouds, but over time he'll get used to their presence. Besides, healthy and fit white clouds will have no problem getting away from your (slower) betta.

Thanks for the info! :) He's a pretty placid betta, so that's a good start. I have to say, your betta is amazingly beautiful!

I think it would be fine.
Some people wouldn't suggest it, but a small school of them the betta may not mind.
Although, he may act territorial at first.... keep an eye on them!

I had a betta for a while and added some white clouds with no problems in my 29 gal. The white clouds and zebras liked to 'school' together and the betta didn't seem to care about any of them. Of course, it may have been too busy hanging out with the blue gourami to care. For some reason everywhere one went, the other was close by, and they even shared a small cave together at times.

Anyway, back to topic at hand, from my experience, betta and white clouds should get along, but that was just me.

The only reason I might not suggest keeping them together is that afaik wcm's like cooler temps, and bettas like warmer temps. But if you've gotten them into a happy medium, it shouldn't be a problem.
