Please help, where do I belong? I was brought home in a 12 G tank with no hope of surviving. I wonder who and what I am and hopefully a new home is in store for me. Help my owner figure me out so he knows what's best for me

He is beautiuful what ever he is. A 12 gallon tank? Man, that is awful. Is he south american? I don't know if he will fit into my group or not. I wonder what he is too. I have a 125 gallon south american cichlid tank that currently has five fish in it . They have been there for about four years. He looks so big to have been in a 12 gallon tank.

bound for a 55G and tneh a 100G when I get it here..
I love it to death...I felt bad for it..

NIce, it is a very big male jack dempsey, he is from south america and can reach 12" max and does well in a 55gal!!! can you tell us what happened to him, luckily he is save and looks good!!!, whats his size and tank size??? do he have companion? :)

I had a feeling along the dempsey family. he's actually 13" inches at present. I peruse craigslist for abandoned and poorly treated fish and give them good homes. he Will have a mate in the 100G.

he was bought 2 years ago from a store where the LFS told him 10G was fine. well seeing how it was not fine I contacted the owner and said I would give it a home, so Free fish and it's not happy with me... stress lines showing and he keeps trying to bite at me... O well..

sooo, are you giving it away?? or you are going to stay with it? is he sick now?? and whats the tank size he is staying in?? he is nice lol i would keep it in a 55gal or a 75gal its weird to find a 13"dempsey!

I keeping him! He's beautiful. He'll share a 100G with a female...when I find one he wont kill :( about the same size. He's not ill anymore but bears scars of HITH. which considering the tank he was in.... Amm 1.2 Nitrite 2 Nitrate 12.... bad bad.....

Good. I'm glad you are keeping him and willing to give him a much better home. I did not know that Demseys get that big. He sure is beautiful though.
