A few weeks ago i posted for help about diatoms/brown algae. well now that the diatoms are eliminated from my tank i have a new problem - green algae. at first i ignored it and thought to myself a bit of green algae would be beneficial for my aquarium. but now its just getting out of control. its growing on the glass, leaves of my plants gravel etc. im afraid it may be using up all of my plants nutrition. my water has cloudy NOT green though. im getting 4 olive nerite snails
and gravel vacced 3 times this week( i let the algae grow for about 2 weeks)
are there any other ways of taking care of my problem? thanks alot in advance

Edit: by the way.. i ahve a 10g tank, would 4 nerite snails be enough? or too much?

adding CO2 to the tank will allow the plants to grow faster and outcompete the algae. you can find more about that in the plant section. otherwise do water changes, feed less, keep light on as little as the plants need

acually i do have diy co2 in there already

Are these clearly defined round green spots of algae? If it is Green Spot Algae, then your plants are likely in need of more phosphate. Once you get the phosphate level up, the spots will go away over the course of a few weeks. Nerites won't do anything for GSA.

Live plants (fast-growing stem plants) can help to take nutrients out of the water, so there's less for algae to feed on.

Frequent water changes will also help.

Reduce lighting to 8-10 hours a day if you have live plants, even less if you don't have plants.
