Hello all,
Here are a couple pictures of my 72 gallon bowfront that I just setup for freshwater. It was a reef tank for years but wanted a change.

Looks nice what are your inhabitants?

Thank you
Right now I just have a couple Chinese Algae eaters, a Blue Gourami, Serpae tetras, zanios, cory's and a couple small rainbows. I am not sure what else I am going to get yet.
As for the setup I have 4-6700K 65 watt PC's, 1-175watt Metal Halide under the hood I made, Eheim Canister, sump, Magnum 275 Canister, and soon to be a DIY Co2 reactor.

chinese algea eaters dont eat lagea. they eat other fish, and blue gouramis can be agressive and when they go on their rampages, they take everything that is alive in that tank out.

the aquascaping is really good and the stand is cool too :thm:

My chinese algae eaters have been good so far, they are eating algae now! The Blue Gouramis has not had a problem yet either. Hopefully they will stay that way!

looks really nice, i love bowfronts, nice looking canopy and aquascaping as well.

Thank you,
With my lack of talent in woodworking, I am surprised the hood came out as good as it did!

Far as I know, the blue gourami should be fine. I have 4 in a 55g, and they hardly did any damage, even when trying to breed.

What I can't believe is that you took down a reef tank! Even so, it looks very nice as a FW planted tank.

I had the reef tank for years, it was beautiful. Then a couple years ago we had someone come over to take care of the aquarium because we were on vacation. Well they forgot to put water on the sump, pump ran dry, blew lots of air bubbles on the numerous growing acropora's which killed them. Every since that time I could not get everything back in balance. So I just recently gave up. It is actually a nice change, one day I will get another reef tank going when I have more time to dedicate to it, but for now I will enjoy the freshwater! At least now I have the equipment to run high light for the freshwater plants!
