is there a snail or snails of some sort that i could add to the oscar tank to eat brown algae?

you could just scrape it off yourself. that way no bioload is added.

what size id the tank and what else is in the tank besides the oscar?

nothing is in with the Oscar. i know i could get it off of everything myself and i do, but i was just wondering if there was something that could help me. the tank is too small for an oscar and a large pleco.

I don't like snails much. They ruin the tank once they start breeding. You could try a placo but they are poop factorys plus you should subplement their diets.
I do like chinease algi eaters. They are hyper fish and burn alot of their meals off. I'm not sure if a full grown oscar would eat one.
