I am going to change substrate to sand in the near future. I want to buy MTS to keep it turned.

The question I have is about salt. If i have say an ich outbreak and use the heat and salt method. Will the salt dosage kill or affect the snail?

no, the snails will be fine. just make sure that you dissolve the salt completely in a small bucket of tank water before adding it to the tank. never add the dry salt to the tank directly.

Nope, they will fair just fine. In fact they have found that MTS can even survive brackish conditions. I will warn you that MTS will only go down into the sand as far as the oxygen goes, so if your sand is very deep, they wont help much.
