My LFS periodically carries pygmy cories. It just depends on what they have in stock when I go... As for the dwarf or pygmy orange fish... There aren't any I can think of besides the one that you already have: the dwarf platy.
Ps: I have 3 dwarf platties myself, aren't they just great?! I love 'em!!
PPS: How large is your tank? If it isn't large enough, you might not be able to add any pygmy cories...or anything else for that matter!

yeah i have a 5 gallon tank with 4 dwarf platies and a snail i think i can add more fish
I agree...unless you have a 10 gallon sump on that bad boy you are probably fully stocked.

say what? a 10g sump??? all i want to add is 2-4 pgymy corys and some of the little free snails
Just kidding...I do think your fish would be better off if you upgraded to a 10 gallon aquarium or larger. IMO I would not add any more fish till you do so.

I think you might be able to squeeze in 2-3 pygmies... but you'd have to do frequent water changes. Snails shoudn't be an issue. If you don't want to have to worry about the water changes and other issues... I'd go with some cooll shrimp... amano, red cherry, ghost, etc.
In My Opinion, I'd go with the pygmies just because I love them, but I'd only get two or three and be doing weekly gravel vauums and water changes (35%-45%).
Hope that helps!

Good idea! Sounds like you're on the right track!
Good idea! Sounds like you're on the right track! This is not a "good idea" pygmy corys should be kept in much larger groups than this. They also require more space to swim than a 5 gallon will provide.

Your just a bubble buster
Your just a bubble buster
I'm just giving advice. You do not have to follow it. I'm still trying to figure out if you have a 5 or a 10 gallon.

When your fish and snail are full grown the aquarium will not look so big anymore. :)

Well my fish only get like 1 inch long and they have had babies but ate them so i think that im pretty good. and rightnow i only have one snail.
www.applesnail.net (http://www.applesnail.net/) suggest that you allow 2.5 gallons of water per snail.

ok here is what i have
1 apple snail
4 dwarf platies(both of my girls have had babies)
and i want to get 2 pgymy corys
Like I said I would not add anything else untill you can get a bigger tank. The corys should be kept in groups of 5-7.

Hi,
Pigmies should be kept in groups of 4+ and you don't have any more room in your tank for them.
