I don't waste any water when I use my python to drain the tanks. I just use it as a siphon and drain the water out a window or door.
If that is still too slow for you, (it will be faster than going thru the faucet venturi), buy the cheapest canister filter you can and attach the python to the inlet of it and direct the outlet out a window/door.
