Breeding Age of Angels

they earliest i would think is when they are over 2" long, but even then they need to be around eachother for a while before they make a pair.

I've heard of angels pairing up and breding as young as 6 months, but 10-12 months would be about the average age.

good call. actually a pair can form and spawn pretty quick..I added a couple angels in with a known breeding male(mate died) within a couple weeks he paired up with one of the other anglels and they started spawning shortly after.

the female is young so the spawns had not been very successful till the 3rd spawn.
to give you an idea about how quick this happens..the new angels were added to the tank with the male at the end of August..they had their 3rd spawn last month about mid month. they spawn about every two weeks..this can vary. this female was born around late feb-early march this year.
