Pleco for a 29gal!

How much are they and would it be able to live with my african cichlids? I have medium nitrates in the water even with 50% water changes weekly. Every thing else is at zero would a pleco be to sensitive. If so would a catfish work!
 
I can't think of a pleco for a 29 gallon tank that would go with African cichlids. The tank is to confined for a pleco and Africans. The only catfish I can think of that might work is a pictus cat and even that is iffy.

There is no way a pictus catfish would fit in a 29 gallon for more then a couple of months.
