Hey guys,
just arrived home from 2 months in Asia. Me and My Team Went over there to Race Against the chinese and other ambassodors, as part of the international bejing-Hong kong circut. Which our main Sponser, Honda Motorcycles, had set up for us. They set us up with brand new 2007 modle factory rides Each of us got a brand new cr250's and new crf 450's. (Thanks Guy's) They have some of the best racers i have ever riddin with over there.

the whole time i was there i didnt see one paddock, just city from bejing to hong kong. lol every race was indoors inside a huge arena. the amount of peaple at these events is breath taking, as well as the partys afterwards. the rule was you completed the race, normally finished around 5pm-ish, then went straight back to the hotel, washed your gear, had a shower and something to eat, then straight back into the clean moto gear (to show off your team) and off to the after party.

Race 1: (hong Kong)
the first night we raced was at "the great chin motocross track" we rocked up at the event, in the WORST traffic conditions ive ever seen, and set up our pits. the pits had been set up for about 5 mins when an army of indian blokes came over and started offering us "you pay me cash i make you nice garmets, with your team on top yes" so we got a bit of merchandise made and sold it off cheap. (and boy, did it sell!) The track was fairly flat with a couple of ripple and double sections. We all rode the four strokes except wogga.
Wicky got 3rd
I got 5th
timma got 13th
woggas bike blew a piston on the first lap.

Race 2:
(bejing) Was probably the best time we had as when we rocked up a group of young chinese hottys were wearing our merchandise and yelling out "FFG racing Cool!!" with there faces painted into the australian flag and gave all a kiss before the race. lol good times... There were SPonsers at this race so we all tried to do our best to get some sponsership deals.
Standings as follow:
wicky-3rd again
I got 2nd
timma got 5th
Wogga got a nice 8th.
At the end of the race we were all pretty pooped, and eager to get to the after party and hang out with our new found freinds. but, never the less we decided to head over to the sponsership tents and see what we could score, we got a deal with Electric sunglasses, A sweet tyre deal with the boys at Maxxis tyres, A Oil and Octane Deal with Pennzoil, ThorMX, www.arsenalmx.com, and some mob called "Thumpstar" who make little mini bikes, aswell as some indian suitmaker who gave us hes stickers and contact cards, made us put them on our dirty bikes right there and then! and that was the ens of him, thats right, we never saw again!, and we all got a heap of mechandise from each of these guys (except our indian freind), which we handed out at the after party.

Race 3:(bejing)
Right in the heart of bejing, So i was able to have a look around at the local shops, So much variety, From spy gadgets, belt buckles, ancient weapons, to toys, pools and ofcourse, Fish. I was amazed to see the amount of fish some of these guys had in there stores, one bloke had a baby marlin, and another was selling off shark eggs (hate to think how he got them!!!) aswell as alot of fish i had never seen before. anyway, the race was very gnarly due to a bit of dry weather which made the track very dusty. we all rode with an aussie flag flapping around out the back of our helmets. this coused a great amount of attention with the commentater, as Scotty (team manager) said he could here him saying "australia" all the time. before the race, Our freinds were there again, IN FORCE! (they had brought alot of freinds along) we let em chill in our pits before and during the race while we got more Merchindise made, more than just clothes this time, stickers, hats drink bottles and socks. Anyway, Thormx hooked us up with 500 bucks each and brand new everything, (boots pants jersey helmet) and our mates at electric Sunglasses gave us all a new pair of goggles, and a rip and roll system, aswell as a LOT of sunglasses (which We again handed out at the AP) there were a few sponsers going at this one, and we picked up a new pair of alpine star boots each off our mate trever from alpinestars USA. the race was pretty hectic as it was dusty as, with a lot of grid changes, But despite all this, we all got excellent postitions.
Wicky - 2nd
Me- 3rd
Timma- 4th
Wogga- 11th (average position due to a near-hiccup when he attemped to wave at the croud whilst 15 foot above the track)
At the after party we all celebrated by sipping on some Bintang stuff A bloke from Suzuki factory racing bejing (kue, i think hes name was) shouted for us. We were pumped to see a couple more peaple wearing our mercho this time.

12/11/06-
Today was somthing a bit special for us as a few of our female fans took us to their school formal. we each rode on the 250's (which we had not yet had a chance to ride) To there apartments, picked them up and rode the streets of bejing on brand new, bright red 2 stroke monsters, Each wearing a suit, MX Boots and a helmet, with a girl in a formal dress on the back. we must have looked like kings amongst the crappy old postie bikes and Old cars on the streets, But it was a Gas. When we got to the formal it was Weird becouse none of us could dance, and everyone else could. But, being the gentle men we are, we stayed and made fools out of ourselves. we were very tempted to go to the formals after party in some old carpark (which would have gone OFF!!!) but we had no were to put our bikes so decided to drop the gals off at the party and headed to the hotel room.

Race 4:
(Hongkong) this was the event i signed my first autographs (hehe im so proud!) But more on that later... we arrived on the setup at 2pm and watched all the other races to get an idea of some lines to take in the track, This was a HUGE help!. This was the last race of the event, so it sucked That our race had to be lit up by the spot lights. I decided to give to 2 stroke a try tonight (which i was a bit iffy about becouse of what happend to wogs at our first race), while the rest of the team ran there 450 4 strokes. the 2 stroke ran pretty good, with the top speed of the 450, but much more acceleration and alot less pulling power (quick off the line, but sucked once it was in the sand pit or going up big jumps). me and wicky sat level pretty much the whole race until make it or break it time when he started to reel in the top 3. On the last lap Wog and some guy from team Kiwi from new zealend had a bit of (as wog put it) aggresive competition. wog was sitting levle with him when they entered a 140 degree bend that had been rutted out by those of us on 2 strokes (rutted means when there is deep tyre grooves in the dirt)
as they did so, wog tells us hes front tyre sliped into the kiwi riders rut, in between hes tyres, wogs bike got draged into the rut and naturally, wogga went flying off, right into the kiwi rider. as you do in motocross, they would have both hid there pain and anger, lifted up there bikes and kept going, well at least the kiwi did, wog just got up, looked at his bike, swung his head around in anger, stomped over to hes bike, lifted it and awquidly (how do u spell that?) wheeld it off the track and stood with it until a few blokes came over to have a look at it, then they started moving it into the pits. we got a pretty good run.
postitions:
Wicky-1st
Me-4th - i was happy with the result of the 2 stroke
Timma- 2nd
Wog- DNF
Timma was overjoyed with hes run, but not as happy as wicky, who was PUMPED that he got a poll Finish and at the trophy presentation got to spray champagn on everyone, and purpesly sprayed wogga double to annoy himas he was in a sulky mood lol. but we found out he had good reason to be in a sulky mood once he told us about hes bike, the reason he couldnt ride the rest of the race, hes whole left fork had been pushed in, passed the seal, meaning every time he put pressure on the forks ois piissed out of the seal, hes wheel was also buckled and hes front fender was absoluty bugged. i bit of a loss to the team that round as he was going pretty good, but he got it all rebuilt and new red-chrome plastics (thanks to the dudes at polisport plastics) which we all liked the look of so we copied him. We all went to the after party which was at a ware house which monza imports supplied some Freestyle Team from europe with. We had never met them, only watched them preform there stunts before Oue races, but were still nice enough to let the racers and alot of randoms have the After party there. all these chicks came up to us, which we were proud of becouse what little clothes they had on was our merchandise, so we obeyed our fans and all got to sign up a storm.

Race 5: (Grand finale, Hong kong)
Ok, this track was wicked! it had a 2 jumps which jumped about 30 foot over a river!, it also had a bridge which rider could ride under whilst other rider rode over the top. The race was was the first of the event which was good in a way (more time to recover afterwards and more pit attention), but it sucked becouse there wernt as many peaple there (as most peaple go to watch the bigger classes and just watch us becouse we were always in the middle of things), But there were still quite a few peaple there to watch us. the whole class got to go out and have freetime on the track, and everyone rode there minibikes, We rode our thumpstars around a track for the first time and it was a blast. i rode my 4 stroke, and everyone else ran the 2 strokes. the race started and we all got crap starts except for wogga, who disseperd into the front of the pack, the river jump was awsome, and so was the bridge i had absolutly the best time of my life on that track. me and timma were side by side and came around a corner that was facing the start gate, and there was some poor bloke who was riding a KTM and the kickstarter had fallen off, we both looked at each other and laughed, lol its still funny now.by half time wicky was running mid pack wog was in 3rd and me and timma on and off 14th and 15th. we started to catch up toward the end and were very disopointed with our finishing standings. Except wogga!!
postitions:
Wicky - 5th
Me - 9th
Timma - 10th
Wogga - 2nd
we stuck around after the race and signed and sold off most of our merchandising and i got to sign some little kids moto. "Hey dude, Best of luck in the future and if you get good come and race for us. Gumby #131" i dont know if he could read it but he seemed pumped about it. we droped around to all our sponsers and droped them all off a slab (thanks to bulliet bourban), we shook hands and swapped manly tales with all our competiters, and wicky signed his helmet and gave it to his "temporary girlfreind" he met over there, who was one of those bejing fan girls. good thing to, she was starting to **** me, she followed him everywhere and just watched him all the time, and i didnt no what her oldies would have thought of her going to hong kong. meh.

this trip was a life changing experience (it would wanna be for 2 hours of typing!) we all had the best time and were sad to leave, but we hope to get get better and compete next year.
Big, Huge, awseome, Top, Most Speciel thanks to:
all our sponsers
Scotty (FFG team manager)
