View Full Version : Balas in a jar!
I bought onyx sand for my new aquarium and wanted to see what it really looks like in the water, so I put it in a jar and stuck it in my 55 gallon. The balas seem to love it in the jar! They're always in and out, and sometimes two or three actually go in there at the same time!!

On a side note, you do know that your balas are going to quickly outgrow your tank, right? They might not be so bad in a school, but the one I had kept ramming into the glass once he got a little bigger than what your is now... they're too skittish for a tank that short...

... The new aquarium I was talking about is a 100 gallon 5'x18" tank...

Interesting that Balas have such good taste when it comes to substrate!! :D
