Ghost Knife

are there any kinds of ghost knifes that dont get humungous?
I am thinking of purchasing a used 150 and I am wondering if that would be big enough for a BGK.
I would like to find a smaller kind?

Something common that wouldnt be over 20 dollars or so?
Can they be housed with plecos? or pictus cats? or maybe a crayfish?
Just swimming for some ideas :dive2:

Knives would be okay with plecos and cories, no problem. However, I am unaware of any that don't grow to be enormous. I think you're sort of stuck.

There's a few: http://fish.mongabay.com/knifefish.htm look for ones under 12-18" I doubt any of them are common and you'll probably have to order them in to avoid waitng 5 years for your LFs to get them in. I also doubt you'll find any of them for less than $20.

Crayfish will eventually eat everything else in the tank with them.
