hi can anybody explain to me why my goldie has a cloudy color almost covering his entire body. Is he going through a color change or is there something wrong with my water. please help.

sounds like a body slime?
some sort of fungus I think that covers or coats their body.
Mine did that (and died) one time when we were out of power for several days and the water got cold, he sort of molded?! ugh.
I would treat him for a fungus, but without seeing it it's hard to know. Maybe the others can help...

what are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate readings? how long have you had the fish? it does sound like fungus. . .

yeah i had the fish for about a week. the guy at LFS told me that he was going through a color change or some bs like that. i spoke to someone in the chat room and they told me that it was because my tank wasn't really establish yet that i needed let the nitrogen cycle build. i only had my tank for about 2 weeks b4 at added a baby 2 inch baby flowerhorn then about 5 days later i added the goldie. i have a 60 gal with the temp ranging from 82-85 and the ph level right now is 7.2-7.3. I don't know what my ammonia, nitirate, or nitrite levels are.

temp is too high, Sunshine plec's are not Cromatiforic plec's. they wont change colors too much unless they are breeding or entering adulthood. also they are VERY sensitive to tank conditions. I assume it's stressed because your tank is going through a cycle.

IT would be advisable to get a test kit and track your cycle. I don't know if your pleco is hardy enough to make it through..
