Does using the same bulb in a different fixture usually produce a completely different "look"?

My All-Glass brand strip light came with two 55w 9325ēK bulbs. I got used to them.
But we bought a new Jalli 220w (wanted the moonlight option), which came with 7500ēK bulbs. These proved to look too green to me, so we installed the older bulbs (only a month older, but..).

The older bulbs look nothing near like they did before. To describe it- they look less *blinding*.
It is a much nicer look, but I just wonder if the difference indicates a problem? They are all simple straight pin bulbs and interchange freely.
We have moved the light forward on the tank, moved it back trying to figure out the difference and it is definitely a quality of light thing not a placement thing.

Also- this Jalli light has a fan mounted in one end, but the fan is switched "on" by only one of the light switches. If I run the actinics alone for moonlight effect the fan does not run. Is this ok?

And lastly- the Jalli came with a plexi type bulb shield. If this is atop a glass cover (versa-top) do we still need the shield? Seems more air could circulate without it. It 's a freshwater tank, so no salt spray. Plants yes, co2 no.
