Hey guys I switched my 40 gallon SW tank to a fw but my mom misses the SW tank so i have this leftover 20gallon i am turning into SW. its all setup except for the light it has now is one of those cheap ones that the tanks come with.

My question is can i just get a better bulb for the fixture or are the fixtures just to crapy for any bulb i would need for this tank.

Tank specs are:
20gallon
live sand, live rock
it is a fish only but my mom really likes the mushroom corals so i want lights capable to sustain those as well

Ok any suggestions please?

Shrooms really don't need much light at all. If you get a light like you'd have for a planted tank it should be more than enough for mushrooms.

Fine you could do xenia, rics and some of the other softies. Anyway glad to see you setting up a new s.w. tank.
