Hi all,

In general, how durable are CO2 regular and solenoid? I am looking at the Milwaukee MA957 and some other ones for sale for online. They have different warranty periods so I am wondering how much of a factor it should be.

(1) Milwaukee MA957 at aquariumplants.com -> 6-month warranty
(2) Aquariumplants.com's own CO2 regulator -> 3 years
(3) Ultimate injector regulator at aquabotanic.com -> 1 year

Thank you all in advance

I own the first two there. The Milwaukee MA957 which lasted 2 days before the solenoid fried and doesn't hold a specific pressure. drops to 6psi when the solenoid is open and jumps up to 35psi when the solenoid is closed. I also own the Aquariumplants.com regulator. I purchased it to replace the Milwaukee one and I am amazed. It holds pressure never going up or down, the gauges are easy to read, the solenoid is high quality and the fine adjustment needle valve is easy to adjust.

The Aquariumplants.com regulator is more expensive out of the three but also comes with a 3 year warranty. I'd have to recommend the Aquariumplants.com regulator.

I have the MA957 and like it, but if you're in doubt, go with the one with a longer warranty as jlee suggests.

I got my regulator from kegworks.com about almost 5 years ago and it still works perfectly.
