Im intrested in buying this model but its going to be in my bedroom. Is it quiet? And importantly is it good?

Here is an excellent review of the Fluval 204 canister filter. It is just the older version of the filter you are looking at. I would hope the new one would be an improvment.

BTW, I had a Fluval 304. I never cared for it very much. I now use Eheim's exclusivly. I would recommend checking out Eheim filters. Their Classic line of filters can be found cheap on the internet. Look for the Eheim 2213 or 2215.
