I use Nutrafin Aqua Plus and put 2 cap fulls in a bucket of water and let it stand over night. With the purchase of my new tank i want to do water changes the same day i prepare water. How long does it take to remove the chlorine? cholramine? (spelling?) as i dont like having 4 buckets of water sitting around all the time.
I use Prime for the fact that it takes so little to dechlorinate water as opposed to other brands. Dechlorinator works pretty quickly. I would say let it sit for maybe 5 minutes, if that, and it should be good to add into the tank.
Personally, I add the tap water into the tank and then pour the dechlorinator in after that. My fish don't seem to mind at all.

Prime. I do exactly that. I take out the old water, pour in the water straight from the tap, then add Prime(Water Conditioner), and walk away. Fish don't mind. Some people here are alittle too obsessed with fish to realize they really don't give a f*** about things in short moderation.
