I think that is best for only one male betta.

the grid is pretty crappy, and one side has too much filtration, while the other is underfiltered.

I say get a larger one like a 5 gallon and then split it.Make your own dividers but You should really put up a mirror or something for your bettas so they have somehing to flare at 15 minuts for 2 times a day.

it also stresses the bettas out cuz they constantly see somthing they dont like and cant seem to get to it.. .they wont turn out as healthy and end up becoming depresses or manics at trying to cross tothe other side

In theory, yes... in reality... they live just as long as they would if they couldn't see another betta.

so should i just get like 2 one gallon tanks or something. basically dont put 2 bettas in one tank with that divider...hm. well i may just get a few one gallons or something.

where can i get exotic bettas like half moons and stuff online?

I would get a divided ten gal...you could get three, the put some ghost shrimp in each compartment :D
plus a ten gal would be much easier to keep heated and do WC's.

you can get a ten gallon at walmart for that same price
If you did that you could get a female betta a few other fish

right now im looking at those for design. i would just put it in the spot on my desk. i think 2.5 with divider will be fine, because anything is better than the bowls they are kept in, with no water movement. and they are always kept right beside each other anyway.
