hello, this is probably a dumb question but i will ask anyway. I have started to use ro water with a coral life pure flow 24. my question is what quality is the water that comes out of the red tube . is this pure waste water or can it be used for anything else but tank water. It seeems that the water coming from the blue line is less of a stream than that of the red tube. the instructions do not really talk about the difference and it seems like a waste of 20- 30 gallons to produce a good 20 gallons. thanks in advance for any help.

Most RO units create 3 to 4 gallons of waste water for every 1 gallon of good water. From your description, it would seem that the red tube is your waste line. The waste water is commonly used by many people for washing clothes, watering the lawn / plants, etc. Others just let it flow down the drain. Personally, I use waste water on the plants and for water changes in our fw turtle tank.

if you have tropical/cold/ water fish then you can use a DE chlorine then its good&safe to use with these fish

I use it to irrigate my lawn in the summer and to wash clothes/water my green house in the winter time. The thing is that you'll have to get it plumbed in to a water barrel etc to utalise the waste water.
