MY MOLLY is SICK!!! WHAT IS WRONG? YOU HAVE TO HELP ME QUICK!

ILOVEBETTAS

It's Cory Lover's cat!
We have her in a 10 gal. tank (she's my brother's fish) and she is a black molly. She is 2 in. long. She was very healthy until I went up stairs and saw her bouncing around as if she had swim bladder! I immediately took her out and I have her in a quarantine tank. I put in salt, meds, and the water is warm. She looks like she has a tiny red worm coming out her hind end now! She is doing better, but what is that red worm? What's wrong with her? i really need help!

THANK YOU! You may save little Rainbow's life. (What, my bro thought of the name!)

Okay then... how long should I have her quarentined? And does she have swim bladder also?

I'm SOOOOOO sry for being impatient, but please, help!!!! HELP! I'm sry, but i need help!

How is the molly swimming. You haven't given enough info on that. For IP you need to go get some medicated fish food. Make sure it says that it treats INTERNAL parasites before you buy it otherwise it is worthless. Also make sure to get either a food or something you add to food. Adding chemicals to the water is useless for treating IP.

also, IME salt helps them too if you're treating for parasites. use medicinal food as fballguy directed.

The molly is doing better now, but it is still listless. But at least better. :D

And for what its worth, "swim bladder" is not a disease. A swim bladder is standard equipment on almost all fish. There are problems that can affect the swim bladder, i.e. infection, but the swim bladder in itself is not a problem or sickness.

I was making it short by saying "swimbladder"
