Convicts

They are a beutiful fish in my opinoin however my female would dig pits in my rocks. I only had one maybe 4 would be diferent or 4 times as bad.

what size is the tank?

I have 3 female convicts in a 38 gallon and other than extremely territorial, they are okay together. Convicts will spend their entire day proving territories in your tank. I prefer the females as they do stay smaller and have the prettier markings. I don't know how big your tank is but I would not put the females in anything smaller than a 40 gallon and even then, stretching it. You will need lots of caves and hiding spots as they stake territories. One thing I do to cut down on agression is to once in a while switch around the caves to the opposite sides of the tank to break up aggression. I love my convicts, they have lots of personality and are a blast to watch!
