I noticed after I made a water change 2 of my mollies were blowing air bubbles at the top of the water and my other molly who is a dork was eating their air bubbles thinking it was food, lol. So what does it mean when they have air bubbles?

Thanks!

I think it was a joke :)

True. Ammonia levels are always a concern when you see them looking for air, so test. What's the ammonia and nitrite level...

Their gills are a bluish/silver color. I tested for nitrites and ammonia. Nitrite and ammonia are both at 0. I just finished cycling my tank a few days...

Do you use an airstone in your tank?

No I don't, I saw airstones at Walmart last I went but I'm not so sure if it's necessary. I'm a beginner in fish, would it be a good idea to get an airstone?

thanks!

If you are running a HOB filter, you can lower your water level a little bit(if you can stand the noise), This will help with aeration. Plus you can get an air stone also.
