would it make co2 for a longer period of time?? i dont have any 2 liter soda bottle and i think the milk jug is leaking and its time to refill anyway.... if i were to go out and buy a soda, what could i put it in (so i can use the bottle tonight)? and what is your best recipe?? i just do like 2 cups of sugar and 2 spoons of yeast...

You know when I go to the store there is usually some brand of soda on sale for .99 cents. The bottle is worth that to me so I just pour out the soda. The bottles last a long time. Come to think of it it's basically sugar water anyway, I bet you could just poor in some yeast and let it go. As for the bigger 3 gal deal I don't know if you would get CO2 for that much longer. You would certainly get more CO2, assuming you increased the recipe proportionally. I think the yeast would ferment proportionally. Even if you added allot more sugar and water and a little yeast the yeast would multiply so rapidly that it would still catch up. Not sure just a thought.
