Hello everyone,

I am in need of a good bottom feeder to help clean up the gravel a bit. I have a 150 gallon tank and have a 9 inch shovel nose in it so I need something that will be big enough not to become a meal yet will do a good job on clean up.

My son has a cory in his 10 gallon tank that is constantly active on the bottom, do any of the Cory's get big enough? What else might you suggest for this job?

Thanks!

you can get a few giant cory's they get to be about 5 inches long....lets see....if you really want to get huge you can grab a gold nugget pleco...those max at around 16 inches....you'll have better luck with plecs if your looking for something bigger...hope this helped.

Golden nuggets at 16 inches??? No way.....they max out at 6 inches and they are slow growers. I have one for about 9 months and has grown maybe a 1/2 inch. It would be one EXPENSIVE snack for the shovelnose.
