I have a 29gal cichlid tank that i did the salt treatment on and it didn't help the fugus infection. So i want to put meds in te tank but it is only for fresh water use only. Will the treatment still be effective?

There is 30 teaspoons of salt in the tank currently for the last week.
 
salt will do nothing for fungal infections. if you're going to add other 'medication', do a 50 percent water change to get rid of the salt and start over.
