We drove up and saw him last year in Chicago, he still put on a show at 72. Was really sad to see the news this morning. :(

James Brown abused his wives and was guilty of drug and weapons offenses.
He was not a hero and does not deserve to be worshipped. He was a dirtbag that was only let out of jail because of his fame.

Good music. We all have good and bad sides.
Mama said....if you can't say anything good...don't say anything.

Sadly a few news stations around here used one of his mugshots in a few of his "memorials".. Who does that?!
Strangely enough I have yet to hear that techno song "James Brown is Dead" yet, proving that maybe there is some kind of respect for the deceased.
