This is a before and after picture. I just got Eco-complete. Tell me what you think.

So how did u change the substrate out? did u do a complete tear down, or just scoop and swap? it looks great. i like the way u arranged the plants, give the tank some real dept.

I kind of like the driftwood angle in the first picture. I'm partial to lighter colored substrate as well, but the eco-complete looks good! It might be cool if you used some of the lighter gravel to create some interest in the foreground.

Looks nice, I too prefer lighter substrate, and I actually liked the first pic better, but of ocurse it's your tank and you should do what you like, but both are certainly nice.

Now that I have the right kind of substrate and co2 I can grow a carpet of glossostigma. What I did to change the substrate is I took a couple of emptied milk jugs and filled them with the water that was in the tank. Then I took off the end of the gravel vacum and it sucks up the other sand right up. The reason why I didn't put the driftwood the same way is because it would cover the wisteria.
