I just got a 20 lb bag of black sand ( tahitian sand) today. IT looks NICE. Alli have int het ank is guppies, a lone danio, and some baby guppies ( no terrible loss if they get eaten. )
Any ideas on small sand bottom feeders?

I was thinking cories..but in reality i dont know anything about them x.o no plecos or snails. My two plum sized Ramshorn snails died recently..and stunk my room up too bad.
It has alot of silk plant covering around the intake of my AC mini.

I was thinkign ghost shrimp, but those are hard to come by over here, for some odd reason, and when we DO get them, they are decrepit and disgusting

thx:p

You cant go far wrong with cories...they are the real gems of the aquarium - hundreds to choose from, so easy to keep, real cuties, are not aggresive, are very playful, and you will never tire of watching them. I would personally go with the cories any day. A favourite cory of mine are corydoras julii.

Hope this helps,
Michael.

Some brief info on croydoras:
- most grow to around 2ins
- love to live in shoals of preferably 6 or more, but will do fine in a trio (look better in larger shoals mind...)
- will live more than happily in normal tropical temperatures
- they love sand substrates
- will eat most foods as long as it has time to sink to the bottom for them...i feed mine catfish pellets and tetra prima.

Albino cories would look cool on the black sand.

Panda Cories are my favorites. They are sooo cute! I'm sure you'll enjoy them if you get cories :)
