Ok here is the deal....

I do not have my internal overflow built yet but the plumbing is all in. There is some noise that needs to be lessened in a few places and need some ideas. Here is what I have... 1 and 1/2" Drain/Durso and 3/4" Return from a 950gph Mag Drive. (Now that its up I think I could have gone with the 1200 mag drive but not a biggy, can always upgrade)

This is the noisiest part that I have so far. I have not drilled a hole on the top cap of the durso yet. If I cover part of the drain that you see there it gets much quieter.

Next is a shot of the underneath. The inlets to the 10 gallon refugium on the right and the 20gl sump on the left are a little noisy (not to bad). I think I am going to get a U shaped piece to put on the end to see if the quiets things up. Good Idea? or Bad?

The Next shot is the second noisiest for the tank. The pump sitting on the bottom of the sump glass. I have some pressure being put down from the 3/4" return so that it stays in place. Any ideas on how to quiet this down? use some good Velcro to hold it to the bottom and side and give it a good buffer from touching the glass? (not sure if the sticky side of the Velcro would be good for the reef though?) Right now to help a little bit i placed a piece of rubber below and it helped some.

Any ideas from all you experienced guys out there?
