In the last couple of days I have noticed that my invertabrates have become quite sluggish. My scarlett hermit crabs no longer play king of the hill on the coral, and my blue legged hermit is nowhere to be found.

The most noticable change has come from my turbo snails, however. About three months ago I bought 2 snails to rid my 46 gallon tank of the thick brown algae which had covered every inch of tank wall, substrate, and coral. They had the tank scoured spotless within a week, and have kept it that way ever since. About a week ago, though, I noticed that the brown aglae is building up on the tank walls again. The substrate is clean. The snails just seem to glide around on the tank walls, not eating. What's is happening?

Also, I now have a localized growth of green algae in the tank, but's it's spreading. How do I combat this new green algae?

I'm guessing you have tested the water and found everything to be within spec? Last water change was on time, any supplements delivered as usual?

Could be a temp change. I know my tanks have varying activity if the temp swings much, and with the spring coming in, this could cause a change in behavior as well.
