saw on the new that there's a richter scale 7 earthquake, epicenter 10km below sea level, 3 km off southern tip of taiwan(or something like that; didn't pay much attention). but it finally resolved the mystery of why my internet accessing was so slow when accessing foreign websites: internet cables around that area was damaged. as a result, all of east asia suffered from internet lag. stock markets are in chaos, companies have problems etc. and i thought that my router was acting up again ... cannot access friendster, google, some online forums ... imagine the shock the marine fishes there must have felt during the earthquake

Its amazing and sad to know that everyone is depending so much on electronics...Just imagine the one day where all the power is out.

Then we might all have to sit down and, egad, read books. Assuming people still own books.
