Hi I just did 33.333333333333333333333333333333% water change and rearanged the tank again for she was getting it the pleco's hiding spot. But now she is like overly agressive again but worse then before and now she go and scrapes this on big rock I have in the like almost like she wants to move it but she never tried before. It wouldnt be because she wants to mate right??? I didn't think fish would want to mate if there no possible companions or males in this case around.

Scraping on a rock might be a sign of ich coming. Keep a close eye on that.

By the by, your (approximately) 1/3 of tank water change probably isn't precise to that number of digits...

She could just be re-affirming her dominance in her new territory. Does she attack the glass when you go by, or at least display? Otherwise Chil's right, keep an eye out for parasites.
Hey Chil, are you in Chem or Calc right now? Heh heh. Sig figs only.

No she not scrapping like scratching shes scraping it like with her mouth like biting it type. Yeah she does do the display thing at the glass when ever I open my door she attacks the glass but she did that before. Just she never tryed to bite this big rock.

Voodoo, I am done with chem. and calc., but those lessons stick with me forever!!!

GER, I think that you would be right in saying that she was getting ready to spawn, because it would seem that she is cleaning the rock for laying eggs, which she might do solo.

But cant there be complications when any fish lays eggs??? If there is any chance I got to stop her Ill got get her tubes tied. LOL. I hope she doesnt though theres no point of having egg if there no fry going to come out of them.

Relax...she'll probably eat the eggs as they are shown to clearly be inviable. Hopefully she will quit attempting to lay them, but, if she doesn't, she'll still be okay.

Nope she going in to get her tubes tied tomorrow. LOL. It would be cool if I had a male but I dont have the tank space and wouldn't want her to get beat up or visa versa.

There are several species of cichlids that will lay eggs without males or even other fish being present. The Jag is one of them.

It sounds to me like your Jag wants to move the "offending" rock. My oscars do this every time after a water change. Nipper gets really mad and starts digging/biting at the rock (I always re-cover it with gravel during the water change to give him something to do). He also does it when I move a piece of driftwood into his sleeping territory(he likes a nice open flat space with nothing in it, you see).

I have noticed that my Jaguar is especially nasty the day after a water change. She wants to race me to each end of her tank and she viciously bites the glass so hard you can hear her hit. This is also about the time she hits so hard, water goes flying out of her tank. :)
She is so cool. I can't wait until my other little Jag grows as big as she is so I can have twice the fun. ;)

See my Jag does that chasing back and fourth no matter what I'm doing. He scared my mom cause she swam like mad from the other end of the tank at full speen and slammed into the glass. My mom though it was going to break through the glass to get her. My Jag does this with my Lil Bro as well and my Lil Sis and my Big Sis my uncles, aunt's, cousins and me. Just after the water change she was going mad. She a calmed down though I think she was just pist off at the rock she stopped biting it. I would like to get another Jag to have them mate just have a egg crate seperating them but I would most definately need a bigger tank. So she will have to do for now.
