I am getting 5 new kuhli loachs and wondered if I should cover my intake pipe of the filter so they cannot get in it. What should I use?? Would nylon panty hose work ok?? or can no debris get through it. Also how do I attach it. thanks!!

I think some kind of pantyhose with string or rubberband (wait.... correct me if i'm wrong. rubber band doesn't seem so nice when added with aquarium water)...

*EDIT* I don't think you'll need it at all! unless the khuli loaches are babies or something... and if they can fit through the holes...

Use a sponge.

I like the cylinder ones, but the others will do with a little effort.

no rubberbands in tank

i used rubberbands to hold on the filter intake.well one day i look into the tank and a platy has part of it in one end and out the other one.So i had to easy it out of the fish as i pull it from the mouth it starts it come from the other end.I pulled in hopes that it does not break.and lucky i got it out. and the fish was fine.So now i use fish line when in need ...wish i had taken pics but i was in a hurry to help the fish.
