Here's a link to the biggest fish store I've ever been in. I took my sister there when she was visiting, spent over 2 hours in there. They have a huge selection of fish, plants, and all aquarium needs. It takes me about 45 min. to drive there. So no need for me to mail orders. http://www.thatpetplace.com/mainf.htm

Yeah, there’s no way that AZ is getting my money. I feel for 80gJoe. Hopefully the store or his CC does him right. Thanks.
I didn’t have luck with that ratings site. But I’m going to keep that one bookmarked for future online purchases.
I struck out at thatfishplace also. They didn’t have some of the plants that I was looking for. Cool site.
Well, I couldn’t wait for a reply with first hand experience. I just placed an order with aquatic plant depot. I hear that they are a good place. Thanks for all the help and wish me luck on my plants.
Cheers.

Dear PikeLee,
Unfortunately, this thread got to my attention too late - you already made your order, otherwise maybe I could help :)
There are several things, which we offer routinely and which you just don't see at other places. This includes:
- Your card is charged only after you receive your order and you are satisfied with your plants. If any issue arise - which is pretty rare and most probably because of a mail delivery disruption, - we always offer to choose from several ways to settle the problem; your card is not charged until you are satisfied with the results. If you are not satisfied - your card is not charged, period.
- Unlike all other vendors that we know about, we label our plants.
- We have a free plant giveaway (yes, it's only a lottery, but who knows - you could be the lucky one :) )
- We have severely discounted plant every week: such, this week we sell cryptocoryne wendtii red at 0.99 (regular price 1.99).
- In the vast majority of cases we include a free "surprise" plant - a plant, you did not order, but we thought you might appreciate.
If I forgot anything - you might want to check out "announcement" page on our site :)
I did not mean this to sound like an advertisement, sorry if it did. I just wanted to point out services, you are most likely never to see at other places.
Feel free to send any questions you might have directly to me at vdimeo@aquariumgarden.com - I'll be more than happy to answer.
Thank you for your interest in our plants, even though you ordered from another place :)
Sincerely Yours,
Vic DiMeo

I just re-read my own post in the morning and it looks too good to be true, so I thought I'd add some negatives :)
The drawback of dealing with us is a somewhat long order execution time: 10-14 days. Below is a quote from our site, explaining why it takes so long.
"We collect our customers' orders during a week and then once a week we request all these plants from our nursery. We receive shipment of plants, package them for the retail, and mail them to our customers.
We understand that this method of operation is slow but it has two significant benefits for our customers:
- This allows us to maintain the lowest prices on the Internet because there is no stocking and/or plant care overhead.
- There is simply no faster way for you to receive plants directly from a plant nursery: nurseries do not sell their plants retail, wholesale only.
Receiving plants directly from a nursery insures the highest plant quality - it takes only five days from the moment when the plants are still growing underwater in the most optimal conditions to a moment they arrive to you. "
That's actually one of the reasons why we include some extra plants I mentioned earlier - to compensate for the long wait :) (and a good faith of course :) )

An honest Aquarium Plant retailer? Be still my heart, and, Vic, if I ever get into planted tanks, I'll give you guys a call!

> ...I'll give you guys a call!
Well, actually, that's another bad thing - we don't have phone support, e-mail only. But it's a good e-mail support - all inquiries are usually answered within several minutes (a little longer if a response requires lots of typing :) ). This is mostly true 7 days a week from 8 am to 10 pm eastern time.
I am pretty sure there are some other negatives of dealing with us, like this phone stuff. I just can't remember them at the moment. It's not intentional, it's just escaped me :) But we think it's much more beneficial to have a well educated customers, who know what to expect, than the ones, who will be unpleasantly surprised after placing an order. Because of this reason you can always expect an honest answer to all your questions.
Cheers,
Vic.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to let you all know that I got some free plants in the mail yesterday from this place. “Thanks Vic!” They weren’t kidding when they mentioned they ship out free plants from time to time.
The plants were packed very professionally. All labeled and the plants weren’t dried out at all. They were nice and fresh.
I liked the plants and their shipping so much that I ordered some more plants to finish up my 90g and part of my 30g.
Well, just wanted to give you guys an update on how these guys deliver their product.
Highly recommended and communication with them is excellent.
Thanks again Vic and good luck with the business.

Just to give you guys and future researchers a update, I wanted to let you all know that the plants that I ordered came in and a very very nice. I am one satisfied customer. Highly recommend and it’s well worth the wait.
The best part is, I still didn’t get charged for it. They held up to there part by saying they won’t charge until I receive them and satisfied. Too bad my Green Lotus wasn’t in stock. But everything else came in. Much better than the other place I ordered from. Completely changed my opinion on order plants on the net (first spot I ordered plants weren’t that great and left me kind of worried).
Again the plants came nicely packed, labeled, and the plants were nice and wet. I actually got live plants and not just a live root with some dying leaves on it. Well, good luck with anyones future orders.

It's great to hear about the good online plant retailer seeing how all the LFS here have very poor plants. I am setting up my 10 gallon planted tank soon and will order all my stuff from your site, Vic. Can't wait to start this little tank, now I just have to decide which plants I am gonna go with.

I was going back and forth on who to order from, but because of this thread I decided to go with AquariumGarden.com. I look forward to receiving my plants in the mail. Thanks for the info Vic.
