Hi,
My 75 gallon tank has been established since May with no big problems.
My water chemistry is perfect, the tank is well maintained and I do 75% water changes weekly.
My fish somehow got septicemia. There are red streaks and patches near the fins and tail on my Mbuna cichlids. They are eating well and show no signs of being sick though?
Could it be something other than septicemia? It is travelling from fish to fish.
My LFS is about a 70 mile round trip, plus maracyn is a huge expense for 75 gallons.
Is there anything I can do to help these fish or are they doomed?
Thank you!

Furizolidone at 20mg/litre as a continuous bath for 7 days. complete water change -- 48 hour rest period. repeat treatment. Nifurpirinol at 0.2mg/litre as per above. Oxytetracycline at 75mg per kilogram of fish (yes, you have to weigh your fish) with food.

Thanks for the rapid response...
Are those meds to be used together, or are those choices I have?

those are choices .. hopefully, they're cheaper than what you've seen so far?

Thanks again.
I called the lfs and they said Furizolidone is only $4.79 for 20 capsules.
I have to see what strength the caps are, but I don't suspect that it will near as much as Maracyn..

I'll let ya'll know how things work out...
