there are many different species that you can have. as far as equiptment, are you looking for a fish only or a reef?
there are many many more species of fish that will fitin a 10 gallon, but this will give you a good idea:

A reef tank is a type of SW tank which has corals.

People traditionally divide home marine aquaculture into two categories:
Fish Only (FO): Fish, sometimes with invertabrates
Reef: Corals and all kinds of invertibrates, and fish that are compatible
Good tank bred species for your tank would be small dottybacks like the bicolor (they can be nasty though), false percula clowns, neon goby.
I don't think candy basslets are tank bred but they look awesome.
The goby may be a good choice. There are many samll saltwater fish but they often require a lot more individual space than freshwater fish. So a single fish may be all you can have in a 10 gallon (especially if there are coral and live rock). But you can fill the tank out with inverts like snails and crabs and shrimp which are often just as cool.
