I have a API test kit, and its about 1 year old. I tested my nitrate levels last night and holy cow, the card stops at a dark orange and its like 160 ppm or somewhere around that. My tube turn dark red. I did about a 30-40% water change last night and checked a few minutes ago and its still red. I checked the water in the tap and its probly around 60-80 ppm. I read on here last night about leaving tap water out over night before testing and set some to test later. Could my test kit be old? Is it possable for fish to look and act healthy with nitrates around 150-200 ppm? Help Please!
